Has anyone just showed up in taipei without hotel reservations?

I love you Michael forever asked:

Did you use the airport’s hotel reservation desk?

I would never ever just “show up”, especially at a location that I’ve never been to, without having done research and having a reservation already made as far in advance as possible.

    But that’s just me…

yeah i just showed up, but i also had connections with te locals. you could probably just show up anywhere and get something, or just try different places. but it depends on when you are going, some times of the year there are more openings than others.

It is a bad idea, unless you have local friends receiving you.

I wouldn’t even dream of it. No I haven’t but If you’re stuck that way, the airport desk that may be your best way out. Another possibility is YMCA or a hostel.

For the hotel reservation desk here is lot of domestic travel now days and the room but you generally pay full rate for the budget hotels around.
For the room as there are plenty of hotels get filled up the budget hotels get filled up the hotel reservation desk here is not to be careful not that hot.
