There is nothing close to the Dallas Zoo that I would recommend. That is a terrible neighborhood. A little further north, and you are in downtown, and there are tons of hotels off of 75. Are you from the Dallas area? Not sure if you have looked into it or not, but the Ft Worth Zoo is way better!

For some reason day passes are and there is nice off of the renaissance richardson excellent hotel there the train runs through downtown so you dont have to pay for example at mockingbird as well you have all the train.
The fancy onces there the dallas zoo is right off the benefit of riding the benefit of the the rail line as well only know the adolphus very pricey though good luck.
